When you travel, you can find a lot of special products… ‘Challenge Tour’ in 6 cities in the Central Inland

Six local governments in the central inland border region are jointly operating the ‘Mission Challenge Tour’, which gives away specialty products worth up to 300,000 won to promote tourism. Participants can receive generous rewards depending on the number of regions visited by completing missions such as verification of visits to each region, consumption receipts, and social networking service (SNS) reviews.

Yeongju City announced on the 18th that it will jointly operate the Mission Challenge Tour with Bonghwa-gun, Danyang-gun, Jecheon-si, Yeongwol-gun, and Pyeongchang-gun.

This program, which is conducted as a visit-based mission, was organized by six local governments in the border areas of Gyeongbuk, Chungbuk, and Gangwon to focus on expanding tourism demand.

Participants receive special products by visiting tourist attractions in each region, leaving behind photos, spending more than a certain amount, and completing social media reviews. The compensation structure varies depending on the number of regions visited. If you visit one place, you will receive special products worth 50,000 won, and if you visit all 6 places, you will receive special products worth up to 300,000 won.

You must take a photo containing people at a tourist attraction and submit a receipt for spending more than 50,000 won in that area. Personal SNS reviews including travel destination tags are also essential. To be recognized, you must submit your plan online one day before your trip and submit related documents within 7 days after the end of your trip.

You are free to choose your destination. The major tourist attractions in each region include Buseoksa Temple, Sosu Seowon, National Baekdudaegan Arboretum, Dodamsambong, Uirimji, Cheongnyeongpo, and Daegwallyeong Samyang Round Hill. However, if the budget is exhausted, the project may end early. In addition, residents of six cities and counties must visit a region other than their own residence to be recognized for participation.

A city official said, “We hope that experiential tourism linking various regions will publicize the hidden resources of the central inland region and provide practical help to the local economy.”
