JAKARTA – Directorate General of Taxation (DJP) The Ministry of Finance recorded that as of May 17 2026 at 24.00 WIB, 13,279,936 Annual Income Tax Returns (SPT) for the 2025 Tax Year had been officially reported by the public.
Director of Extension, Services and Public Relations at DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, explained that the enthusiasm of the taxpayer community in adopting this new system was very massive.
“The progress of reporting annual income tax returns for the period up to 17 May 2026 (Tax Year 2025), recorded 13,279,936 SPTs,” wrote Inge in his official statement, Monday (18/5/2026).
The total number of tax reports received was 13.27 million, divided into two large groups based on the characteristics of the taxpayer’s operational financial year.
The largest contribution came from the OP Employees group with realization reaching 10,867,029 SPT. Meanwhile, the Non-Employee OP group or independent business actors and casual workers contributed 1,471,305 SPT.
For taxpayers in the category of companies or entities that use the Rupiah currency denomination, the number of incoming reports reached 909,039 SPT. Meanwhile, multinational scale companies that use US Dollar (USD) bookkeeping recorded 1,518 SPTs.
In the oil and gas industry, there are 15 corporate tax returns denominated in Rupiah and 226 corporate tax returns with reporting based on US dollars.
Taxpayers with different financial year cycles are taxpayers whose internal accounting cycle does not start in January, where the reporting period has been opened periodically since August 1 2025.
