Founder’s message

Warm greetings from me and the team. We’re excited to share our vision, mission, and impact—and to invite you to help create experiences that transform and inspire communities through Godliness, Excellence, and Impact. Join us in celebrating what the Lord is doing; it is marvelous! Hallelujah!

We thank God for making the VIGA Music Awards possible since 2007. We’re grateful to the creatives whose inspirational work continues to minister to our souls, and to the media for spotlighting these talents and their contributions to the world over the years.

To gospel lovers and fans: when you follow those pages, buy records & merchandise, and attend concerts, you are the lifeblood of this industry. To our partners and sponsors, thank you for believing in us and keeping the dream alive. We also appreciate spiritual leaders for instilling godliness in our lives, which enables creatives to deliver music with the right spirit. And to my VIGA team—bravo, and thank you for staying tight and making things happen, always. Aluta continua!

Faith-inspired music touches people across ages and backgrounds. It encourages harmonious living—peace, love, reconciliation, hope, unity, joy, prosperity, positive morals, family values, environmental consciousness, and above all God’s provision, mercy, and salvation.

Against this background, the VIGA Music Awards annually motivate, empower, recognize, and reward outstanding faith-inspired creatives whose work reflects these ideals. The VIGA is here to stay, because faith-inspired music endures. Think of hymns like Amazing Grace, The Old Rugged Cross, and It Is Well with My Soul, still resonating today. In Uganda, faith-inspired music is growing fast and gaining the recognition it deserves. The Awards serve as a catalyst in this process, and we promise a godly, excellent, world-class event every time.

Be blessed.

Nicholas Nyombi Prince aka Nick Akaikai.
