Gachon University Gil Medical Center introduced Korea’s largest projection mapping system on the underground connection between the main building and the cancer center. It is significant in that the entire route is composed of one immersive content.

Gil Hospital announced on the 21st that it has created the ‘Gacheon Healing Road’, which provides psychological stability and comfort to patients and other visitors. It is approximately 60 meters long and is characterized by the natural landscape being vividly realized by applying media art technology.

Projection mapping is the process of carefully examining the shape of an actual space, such as a wall or structure, and projecting a beam projector image according to the surface. The sense of three-dimensionality and realism is high, allowing viewers to feel immersed as if the space is actually changing.

Gil Hospital shows forests and flowers that change with the seasons, gently flowing waterways, and the appearance of sunlight shining through. Equipped with sound equipment, you can even hear the sounds of birds and wind. The video was designed to flow naturally according to the gaze and movement of patients, guardians, and staff.

On this day, Gil Hospital held a ceremony to commemorate its creation with key officials in attendance. Kim Woo-kyung, director of Gachon University Gil Hospital, said, “We hope that it will be reborn as a space that heals the mind, not just a space to move around,” and added, “We will create a patient-centered hospital culture by strengthening not only medical services but also environmental and emotional healing elements.”
