JAKARTA – Workers who are members of the KSPI and the Labor Party began demonstrating in front of the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) Building on Thursday (7/5/2026). Even though it was raining, they still voiced their aspirations.

Based on monitoring at the location, hundreds of workers from KSPI and the Labor Party were seen crowding in the front yard of the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower Building. They unfurled banners of demands and flags of labor organizations.

They carried out the action in the midst of quite heavy rain. The workers were willing to get caught in the rain while voicing their aspirations and singing slogans.

One of the demands voiced by workers is asking that Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 7 of 2026 be revoked because it is considered detrimental to workers. The workers will later be received by the Ministry of Manpower to express their aspirations.

Police officers were seen providing security for the workers’ action and controlling traffic flow at the location. In fact, the police also unfurled banners with an appeal to the demonstration participants.
