The body of BPK RI member Haerul Saleh will be buried in Kolaka, Sultra

JAKARTA – The Indonesian Financial Audit Agency (BPK) expressed its condolences for the death of Haerul Saleh in a house fire in Tanjung Barat, South Jakarta. The BPK stated that Haerul Saleh has been a member of BPK IV since April 2022.

“The BPK mourns the passing of Member IV of the BPK. The BPK hereby conveys that Member IV of the BPK, Haerul Saleh, passed away on Friday, May 8 2026 in Jakarta, at the age of 44. The deceased served as Member IV of the BPK since April 2022,” said a statement from the Public Relations and International Cooperation Bureau, Friday (8/5/2026).

In the statement provided, the leadership and extended family of the BPK expressed their respect for Haerul’s service so far. BPK wishes Haerul the best place next to God Almighty.

“Pimpinan dan segenap keluarga besar BPK menyampaikan penghormatan atas pengabdian almarhum. Semoga Almarhum mendapat tempat terbaik di sisi-Nya, dan keluarga yang ditinggalkan diberikan ketabahan serta kekuatan,” write the contents of the description.

Haerul’s body was buried at the Kartika Utama funeral home, South Jakarta. Haerul Saleh’s body will be buried in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.

“Jenazah saat ini disemayamkan di Rumah Duka Jl Kartika Utama, Jakarta Selatan, dan rencananya akan dimakamkan di Kolaka, Sulawesi Tenggara,” that is the statement from the BPK.
