JAKARTA – President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto,visited Miangas Island, Talaud Islands, North Sulawesi, Saturday (9/5/2026). Prabowo arrived on Miangas Island after attending the 48th ASEAN Summit in the Philippines.

Judging from the Presidential Secretariat YouTube Saturday (9/5/2026), Prabowo arrived at Miangas Island Airport at 09.50 WIB. Prabowo was seen wearing a cream colored safari shirt and a blue hat.

When he got off the plane, Prabowo was seen being greeted by Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Communication and Technology Meutya Hafid, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Public Works Doddy Hanggodo, Deputy Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita, and KSAU Marshal Tony Hardjono.

Prabowo appeared to have had a light conversation with them. However, the content of their conversation is not known.

Prabowo was seen being greeted enthusiastically by residents. While walking to the car carrying him, the President appeared to be approaching the public. A number of residents were seen asking Prabowo for selfies.

Based on the information gathered, President Prabowo is scheduled to inspect the health facilities on the island.
