BNN Holds Operation Shining Saber Confiscating Hundreds of Kg of Narcotics/Okezone
JAKARTA – The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) uncovered cases of various types of narcotics in Operation Saber Bersinar 2026. One of the operations was held in response to public unrest as conveyed in the song Siti Mawarni.
“BNN is intensively carrying out operations in drug-prone areas, such as villages in Jakarta,” said Acting Deputy for Eradication of BNN RI, Police Brigadier General Roy Hardi Siahaan, Tuesday (19/5/2026).
“BNN continues to be serious about the phenomenon that is rife when people feel antipathy and anger at the number of drug dealers in several regions in Indonesia, including the singing of the song Siti Mawarni. BNN needs to form a task force to hold an operation codenamed Operation Saber Bersinar 2026,” he continued.
According to him, the operation targeted priority areas for drug villages and other villages in Indonesia, including the drug village mentioned in Siti Mawarni’s song. The operation was carried out by both BNN RI and BNNP in collaboration with ministries/agencies.
“Pertama, pengungkapan jaringan Aceh-Bogor dengan tersangka 3 orang, terdiri dari 2 warga sipil dan 1 oknum TNI. Kami berhasil mensurveillance terkait 1 kendaraan diikuti beberapa orang yang di antaranya oknum TNI,” he said.
In the first case revealing the Aceh-Bogor network case, he said, officers uncovered a case involving TNI personnel, from which officers confiscated 29 packs of methamphetamine stored in a Pajero car. The methamphetamine was wrapped in Chinese tea packaging, which was planned to be distributed in the Jabodetabek area.
He explained that the second case was a transnational network through expedition services and flying couriers, aka couriers, using air transportation to smuggle narcotics. Officers uncovered the case at Soekarno Hatta Airport on April 28 2026 with the Gol Golden Triangle network.
“Paket dikirim ke Kantor Pos Indonesia yang ada di Jakarta, ada 10 paket sabu sebesar 1.875 gram yang disita. Asal pengiriman dari Laos yang dikirim ke wilayah Kampung Permata atau Kampung Ambon menggunakan nama fiktif,” he explained.
Officers again uncovered a flying courier narcotics network with the suspects being arrested by 2 people with the initials AA and DN at Soetta Airport and confiscating 3,986 grams of crystal methamphetamine which was to be distributed in the Lombok area.
Still using the same method, officers again arrested 3 suspects with the initials MF, AH and AM at a hotel in the Menteng area, Jakarta with evidence of 7,159 grams of methamphetamine confiscated which would be distributed to the Kendari area.
