Israeli Merkava Tank Attacked by Hezbollah Drones in South Lebanon

JAKARTA – The Lebanese armed group, Hezbollah, launched a series of attacks on Israeli troops in a number of areas of southern Lebanon.

Reporting from Aljazeera, Thursday (28/5/2026). Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reports, Hezbollah targeted a group of Israeli military vehicles parked near the al-Qussair city hall, Marjayoun District, using rocket attacks.

Apart from that, the group also launched missiles at a building said to be a secret base for Israeli armed vehicles near a reservoir in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah.

In another attack, Hezbollah’s Ababil combat drone reportedly hit an Israeli Merkava tank stationed near the city’s pond.
