What drives us?

At VIGA, we're driven by a profound passion to honor God by making a meaningful impact on community. We envision a community that values empathy, compassion, and unity; a world where everyone can thrive.

We are passionate about nurturing talents and skills in arts, particularly music, while addressing global issues like Health, Poverty, Environmental Stewardship, Social Justice, and Education/Illiteracy. Our programs empower the community by providing a supportive ecosystem for growth and success.

What we do

At VIGA, we believe creativity is a God-given ability — the power to turn extraordinary imagination into reality, to solve problems, evoke emotion, and reveal truth. We're building a culture where creativity is discipleship and excellence honors God. We focus on four core areas:

  1. Vessels — Creatives who carry value and presence.
  2. Content — Works that blend African culture & rhythms with contemporary worship.
  3. Experiences & Platforms — Live events and digital spaces that spotlight creatives and impact communities.
  4. Culture — A movement where worship meets the streets and 'godly fun' becomes the norm.

VIGA implements complementary initiatives that empower creatives, providing platforms to showcase their talents, drive social impact, and influence community — from emerging artists to established professionals. Our multifaceted approach includes in-house initiatives, sponsorships, strategic affiliations and collaborations, amplifying and enhancing our reach and effectiveness. Our collaborative strategy, which is open to partnerships, comprises the following pillars:

  • Awards & Events: We spotlight faith-inspired creatives and culture through annual awards that honor outstanding artists and inspire excellence in arts and media.
  • Media Initiatives: We share stories at scale across visual, audio, print, and digital platforms. This includes profiling creatives, promoting their work, and archiving their progress. We also mentor budding media practitioners and produce inspiring, faith-inspired and gospel entertainment content. Our long-term vision is to build production units that document artists’ journeys and creative processes.
  • Artist Welfare & Empowerment: We sustain ministry and careers by addressing the unique challenges artists face. Through comprehensive support, we help creatives build lives that are professionally healthy, financially secure, and spiritually fulfilling. Our goal is a supportive community where artists thrive.
  • Outreach Programs: We serve people and communities through inspirational and socially engaging activities that extend impact beyond the creative industry.

The VIGA Music Awards is our flagship program, amplified by a portfolio of events and activations that deepen its reach and impact.
