ARSENAL returned to the top of the 2025-2026 Premier League standings, while Manchester City qualified for the 2025-2026 FA Cup final! The Gunners -Arsenal’s nickname- and Manchester City both got positive results this weekend.

1. Arsenal won 1-0 over Newcastle United

Arsenal won 1-0 over Newcastle United in the 34th week of the 2025-2026 Premier League which took place at the Emirates Stadium, Sunday (26/4/2026) early morning WIB. Arsenal’s only goal was scored by Eberechi Eze in the ninth minute, using Kai Havertz’s assist.

Thanks to this victory, Arsenal returned to the top of the 2025-2026 Premier League standings with 73 points. Arsenal are now three points ahead of Manchester City in second place.

However, it should be noted that Manchester City has only played 33 matches. Manchester City have a game in store to play in the next week or two.

Even so, Arsenal could not breathe a sigh of relief after winning 1-0 over The Magpies – Newcastle United’s nickname. Because, a number of players suffered injuries in the match against Newcastle United, namely Kai Havertz and Eberechi Eze.

Next, on Saturday, May 2 2026 at 02.30 WIB, Arsenal will host Fulham in Week 35 of the 2025-2026 Premier League. Previously, on Thursday, April 30 2026 at 02.00 WIB, Arsenal will travel to Atletico Madrid’s headquarters in the first leg of the 2025-2026 Champions League semifinals.
