DPR Requests Alleged Abuse at Little Aresha’s Day Care to Be Completely Investigated

Alleged abuse at Little Aresha’s day care, DPR asks for a complete investigation (Doc Okezone)

JAKARTA – Deputy Chairman of Commission III DPR RI, Ahmad Sahronibelieves that the alleged case of child abuse that occurred at the Little Aresha day care, Sorosutan, Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta City is a barbaric act and cannot be forgiven. He also urged the DI Yogyakarta Regional Police to thoroughly investigate all parties involved without discrimination.

“Ini benar-benar kebiadaban yang tidak bisa dimaafkan. Saya minta Kapolda DI Yogyakarta memberikan atensi penuh atas kasus ini dan mengamankan semua pihak yang terlibat, mulai dari pimpinan hingga para pengasuh (miss) yang diduga kuat menjadi pelaku penganiayaan,” said Sahroni in his statement quoted on Sunday (26/4/2026).

He admitted that he had received information about the owner of the day care foundation who works as a judge. Sahroni also asked the Judicial Commission (KY) and the Supreme Court (MA) to take action if the owner of the foundation is a judge

“Info yang beredar, pimpinan yayasannya adalah seorang hakim aktif. Jika benar, saya meminta KY dan MA untuk segera memecat yang bersangkutan. Polisi juga harus tetap melanjutkan proses pidananya. Tidak ada kata maaf untuk kekerasan terhadap anak,” said Sahroni.

Apart from that, Sahroni asked the National Police through the Women and Children Services Unit (PPA) to tighten supervision of day care operations which are now increasingly mushrooming in various regions.

“Penting bagi kepolisian lewat unit PPA untuk meningkatkan pengawasan, terutama terkait legalitas izin operasional. Jangan sampai tempat yang seharusnya menjadi ruang aman bagi anak justru menjadi lokasi kekerasan karena lemahnya pengawasan,” he said.
