Tennis profile from Kristianstad takes place on controversial board

Kristianstad girl Frida Jansåker is one of seven people on the Swedish Tennis Association’s new, high-profile board.

After Christer Gardell’s disputed offer, 33-year-old Jansåker is one of those who will now lead Swedish tennis into the future.

– It is a fantastic opportunity, she says.

In October, the venture capitalist and tennis enthusiast Christer Gardell presented a grand proposal to support Swedish tennis, which has not produced a player in the top elite since the days of Robin Söderling (he was in the final of the French Open in 2009 and 2010).
