Marcel Rohner resigns from the presidency of the Swiss Bankers Association. His successor will be the CEO of EFG International.

she. Marcel Rohner is stepping down as chairman of the Swiss Bankers Association after five years. The Board of Directors unanimously elected Giorgio Pradelli, CEO of EFG International and former SBA Board member, as his successor. The handover of office will take place on Banker’s Day on September 17th. Swissbanking wrote this in a statement on Tuesday.

Pradelli will take on the presidency in addition to his role as EFG boss. He wants to give up other association mandates. Born in 1967, the Swiss and Italian national has more than 30 years of experience in international asset management and has led EFG International since 2018.
The SBA praises Rohner for having united the association in recent years and strengthening its image towards politicians and the public. Pradelli announced that he wanted to work for stability, proportionality and the international competitiveness of the Swiss financial center.
