JAKARTA – A man with the initials RNA (29) was the victim of kidnapping, hostage-taking and beatings on Jalan Raya Rawa Kuning, Pulogebang, Cakung, East Jakarta, Thursday 14 May 2026. The police then arrested the two perpetrators after receiving reports from residents.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Commissioner Teuku Arsya Khadafi, explained that the public report was received via the “Bang Resmob” hotline via WhatsApp number 0812 88 110 110. After receiving the report, the police immediately carried out an investigation by Unit 3 of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police.
“Led by Head of Unit 3, Satresmob, Bareskrim Polri, went to the crime scene and carried out an investigation and then managed to find the whereabouts of the victim who was being held captive on the second floor of a showroom,” said Arsya, Sunday (17/5/2026).
Apart from finding the victim, the police also arrested two people suspected of being the perpetrators of the kidnapping and beating. The two alleged perpetrators are Andrian Budyanto and Rohman.
“We succeeded in solving the case and securing the alleged perpetrators Andrian Budyanto and Rohman,” added Arsya.
The police also confiscated a number of pieces of evidence in the form of three cellphones controlled by the perpetrators as well as a statement regarding the incident. This case was then transferred to the Cakung Police.
“Unit 3 of the Police Criminal Investigation Unit 3 carried out the handover of the victims, the alleged perpetrators, and evidence to the Cakung Police, East Jakarta Metro Police, Metro Jaya Police,” he concluded.
